Floridians are ready for Halloween🎃🎃
Last Monday night we had a miracle!! All of our plans for the night had fallen through so we decided to go out and try some neighborhoods around our house. We met this awesome family, Lisa Ella and timothy, and we were able to teach all of them and connect with them on Facebook! They were really nice and open to listen to our message and we will be seeing them again this week! We were also able to have our first lesson over Facebook messenger with our investigator Bryan! We had been texting him and he wasn’t replying but we tried messaging him on Facebook and he actually replied! We taught him about the Book of Mormon and baptism and it was a spirit filled lesson even though We weren't together face to face. We have had a lot of success using Facebook to stay in contact with the people we are teaching and it's exciting to see how we can use this technology to move the work along:)

Exchange in Starke with Sister Redford
The work is going great here in Callahan! We heard a rumor this week that they are going to open a Wal-Mart here. I would honestly cry tears of joy if that happened. We are working really hard though to find people that are ready to hear our message. I know they're out there we just have to keep working hard and the Lord will provide! I love being a missionary so much!!!
I love y'all! Have a blessed week <33

Before the Reaper. Elder Gilland and I were smiling bc we didn't know what was coming hahaha
-Weekly Moss Moment-
The hot pepper saga continues. This week when we went to the Gilland's for dinner they told us that they had a Carolina Reaper for us to try. It's apparently one of the hottest peppers ever and so Elder Gilland wanted to see how it compared to the hot sauce he had us try last week. After we finished dinner we split it in to 4 pieces and were prepare with a bowl to spit it out in and plenty of milk just in case. The Goal was the chew in for 5 seconds and then see who could go the longest without drinking any milk. I'd had it in my mouth for about .2 seconds before I felt the heat and I honestly thought I was going to die. It hurt so bad. I was trying to hold out and not drink any milk so I could beat the elders but I was dying. We were all crying, sweating, and trying not to puke. I made it about 2 minutes (which felt like an eternity) before I tapped out and grabbed the milk. It was horrible and 10/10 would not recommend. The milk didn’t even really help so we all were just dying for about 30 minutes. It ended up being a tie between Elder Simkins and Elder Gilland but it was so not worth it haha! Elder Gilland got a kick out of it though so I'm sure there will be more spicy torture next week
