Callahan and BIG NEWS!!

Gainesville district! Love/miss these humans <3

Hi everyone!! Hope all is well with y'all! This week has been crazy but good. I made it to my new area with my new companion Sister Doxey. She's from Nampa Idaho and is sweet as can be! Callahan is teeny tiny(population of like 1,000) but we cover lots of other tiny towns too and even some parts of Georgia so that's exciting!! The area was opened 2 transfers ago so it's still really new! We have been working really hard to build up our teaching pool and it's been going great so far!

Sister Doxey!!

We got to do service on Saturday for this really neat place called Empowerment Ranch. They take in rescue animals and help with whatever treatments they need. We mostly did hurricane cleanup and helped with debris but we got to see some of the animals too! They had these two adorable goats named Mushu and Mulan that followed us around the whole time and just wanted attention. It was super funny! They also have like 13 horses and we got to meet all of them and pet them which was a bit scary for me but still fun! When we go back next week we are go in to help them groom the horses so that'll be interesting!

We also were able to watch the Women's conference with our branch and it was great! We had a dinner before where we had sandwiches and ice cream then we all watched together at the church building! All the ladies in the branch are super sweet and southern and it was fun getting to visit with them for a bit. I really enjoyed watching women's conference! I felt like it was exactly the boost I needed and made me even more excited for next week when we get to listen to the rest of General Conference!!

Okay so the most exciting part of my week...on Friday night we had a mission wide conference call where President Lee announced we would be getting FACEBOOK! We will be using it to proselyte online which I am super excited about! We will be trained more in our Mission Leadership meeting this upcoming week so we will get more details and trainings on how to use it properly. So if you see me online I promise I'm not breaking any rules haha! Second big announcement is this upcoming week we will be getting SMARTPHONES! Yeah we are super pumped about this. I've had a brick slidey phone my whole mission that can't even get emojis so this is a huge step up haha!  Each companionship will have a Samsung galaxy that we will be able to use for our missionary work. We are 1 of 12 missions in the world piloting this new technology so it'll be interesting to see how it all comes together. I'm thankful I get to be a missionary at this time when the Lord is hastening His work! It's an exciting time :)

I love y'all! Have a blessed week <33
