My trainer taught me to always celebrate the end of a transfer with some
ice cream and I decided to pass on the tradition. We had to take this picture
on timer on my camera and everyone was judging us so this is the best we got
lol
Hello Everyone!
We had our transfer call this week and I found out that I would be
staying in Arlington with Sister Goeller!!! We were really excited about that!
The work is really moving along here in Arlington so I am excited that I get to
stay for a few more weeks :)
We decided to make some brownies for the Elders on Saturday(hehehe get
it?)
This week we did a LOT of finding. We knocked a ton of doors and
tried a lot of former investigators and we were able to meet a lot of amazing
people. We finally contacted this lady named April that we haven't been able to
see since the beginning of the transfer and we were able to have a really
awesome chat with her. She invited us back to teach her whole family and we
were super pumped. She seems really prepared to receive the gospel so we are
excited to continue meeting with her.
We also had an amazing lesson with our investigator Karen. We talked
about the Plan of Salvation with her and she just ate it all up. She LOVED it!
She told us "I think I can see baptism at the end of the rainbow.... or
maybe the beginning of the rainbow!" We thought that was pretty funny and
hopefully she will be able to come to church this upcoming week so she can
continue to progress. As we were leaving the appointment Sister G looked at her
and said "Karen you are so amazing!" and she said "Oh honey I
know." Hahaha it was awesome
This actually happened. I wanted to cry for 2 seconds...WINTER COME
BACK :\
This weekend was General Conference and all I can say is WOW! It was
all so good!! We got to watch all 4 sessions and I was writing notes as fast as
I could trying to keep up with all the awesome thoughts and
impressions. Seriously every talk was so great. My favorite was the talk
given by Weatherford T. Clayton. He talked about the Plan of Salvation and he
said "There is so much more to this life than what happens between birth
and death" Maybe its the fact that Easter is coming up but I have been especially
grateful this past week for my Savior and the sacrifice he made for me and for
all of us! We have a merciful Heavenly Father that established a plan for His
children that makes it possible to be with our families again. It reminds me of
one of my favorite scriptures in Alma 22:14 "And since man had fallen he
could no merit anything of himself; but the sufferings and death of Christ
atone for their sins, through faith and repentance, and so forth; and that he
breaketh the bands of death, that the grave shall have no victory, and that the
sting of death should be swallowed up in the hopes of glory"
We had zone conference this week and we won 50 extra miles for having
the cleanest car in the zone! Wahoo! Our car was actually super dirty so we
aren't sure how we won but I am not complaining
I'm looking forward to this upcoming transfer and all the miracles
that we will see! Being a missionary is the greatest thing ever! Thank you all
so much for the continued love and support. It really makes a huge difference!
Time is flying!!
I love y'all! Have a blessed week <33
xoxo
