Shamrock Shakes and Spiritual Stuff

Shammy Shakes

Hello Everyone!

I hope y'all had a good week! It was nice and toasty here in Florida. It hit 90° one day which was crazy! It was cold and rainy the next day so typical Florida winter hahaha

This week was super busy. We had district Meeting and then interviews with President Lee, trade offs, and lots of crazy lessons!

Tuesday we had trade offs with our STLs and I got to stay in Arlington with Sister Smith! She's so sweet and we had a really fun time! We were doing our golden hour that night and we had some crazy miracles. We were walking down the street and we saw this older lady sitting outside. We walked over to her and told her who we were and asked if we could share our message with her. She told us she was feeling sick and was just waiting for her grandkids to get off the bus. She didn't seem very interested at first but we kept trying and just talking with her and we ended up sharing most of the restoration! We prayed with her right there on the street corner and she invited us back to share more this week! It was awesome! After talking with her we were headed back the other direction and saw a lady that was sweeping her drive way. We went up and started talking to her and she told us her name was Liz. We asked if we could share our message with her and she said we could and asked us to pray for her before starting (which was awesome) and then we shared the whole restoration right there with her in her garage. She told us she had gone to an LDS fireside 6 years ago before moving to Florida where they talked all about the Book of Mormon. She said she felt it was scripture and really felt the spirit at the fireside. We gave her another copy and she invited us to come back in a few days so she could learn more. She was SO prepared to hear our lesson and it was a miracle filled golden hour!

Trade offs with Sister Smith :)

We were doing service as a district this week and we went and ran to McDonalds for lunch. When we got there we found out the Shamrock Shakes are back which was basically a highlight for the week. I'm not going to admit how many shakes sister b and I have had this week. We also spent a TON of time visiting members and LA this week. A lot of them were struggling with health and family issues so it was good to get to see them and lift their spirits. We had a really frustrating lesson with one of our investigators named Mary. It just seems like she forgets everything we teach her and just get defensive and yells at me like every lesson. We love her so much but aren't sure how to help her progress. We had a member with us and after we left we all just sat in the car like "what even just happened???" Shellie (this member who is amazing) took us to get shamrock shakes to make up for the wacky lesson hahaha
We went and got our hair cut by one of our favorite ward member’s last pday, Sister Dains! She served her mission here in JAX and just moved back a few months ago!

We helped a ward members daughter move out of her house, organized a different members closet, raked another members yard, and bagged food for farmshare! It was a service filled week, which was super fun.

Tomorrow I'm giving a training in district Meeting about Heavenly Father so I've been thinking about it a lot and studying different scriptures and conference talks and I am just so thankful to know that God knows me and he loves me. He hears my prayers and cares about what I do and who I become. I found this really awesome scripture for my training in 2 Nephi 2:24 which says
"But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things"
I'm glad I don't have to have it all figured out I just have to trust in Gods plan. He'll take care of everything. I love being a missionary so much and I love getting to share this amazing message with people everyday!!

I love y'all!! Have a blessed week <33

xoxo

Some of our favorite members the Webers gave us these cute stuffed animals for Valentine's Day!
-Weekly Moss Moment-

This week we were visiting one of our favorite kooks/less actives named Lisa. We sat down in her living room and said a prayer before starting the lesson. Sister b was saying the prayer and halfway through Lisa leaned across sister Bs lap, grabbed her bag off her shoulder, pulled out her hand sanitizer and started using it. Sister B and I both opened our eyes during the prayer, looked at each other, tried not to laugh, and then continued on with the prayer and lesson. Haha I guess she couldn't wait. The moss really gets me sometimes
We made a fruit pizza for Valentine's Day! It was yummy and we shared it with the YSA sisters that live in our complex
