Happy Christmas Harry

We realized at like 9pm our Christmas dresses matched so we took a dark low quality pic! sister p makes me look like a giant haha

Hello Everyone!! I hope y'all had a Merry Christmas!! We had a really busy week visiting people and doing service and getting ready for Christmas!! I got to FaceTime my family yesterday for about an hour and it was surreal but so fun! I got to see my cute sisters, dorky brother, adorable parents, and wild nephew and it was the best Christmas present ever!!!!!

We decided to get pizza for dinner one night. We sat down and they had Harry Potter playing on the TVs. HARDEST MOMENT AS A MISSIONARY. We were trying so hard to not listen to it haha and we closed our eyes so we wouldn't watch it through the iPad while we were taking the picture hahaha

This week we did a lot of finding. We are kind of in a rut and are trying really hard to find new people to teach. On Tuesday we went and did a golden hour with this really sweet girl from our ward named Aniya! She just submitted her papers and it was so fun to go out with her and help her see what missionary work is like! I remember going out with the sisters before I left was the best thing ever. I think sometimes people forget missionaries are like real normal people haha so it was good for me to see that before I left. We were able to talk to some really awesome people while we were with her and she is so excited about missionary work it made me so happy!!

Some members from Palatka drove up to take us to lunch. Sister Tryon was really close to them when she served there and it was really fun!

Wednesday night we were invited to go out with the Activity Day Girls(girls in our church ages 8-12) We went downtown with them and sang some Christmas carols! After that we walked around and the girls gave out pass along cards. They seriously gave out like 50 cards throughout the night!! We would give them like two or three and they would run off and then be back like 5 minutes later asking for more cards because they had already given them out!! The whole time they kept talking about how they couldn't wait to be missionaries someday. My heart seriously melted and I wanted to cry. I LOVE being a missionary and it makes me so happy to see how anxious these little girls are to serve Heavenly Father!! It was such a cool experience

Caroling!!! JAX South zone is the best :))

Friday night we went Caroling with our whole zone in downtown St. Augustine! There was about 30 missionaries there and it was really fun! People kept stopping and taking videos and pictures of us and we would go out and talk to the people that stopped to watch and try to give them a card! Christmas has been such a good excuse to talk to people it's awesome! Just to brag about how awesome the missionaries in my zone are...while we were walking downtown there was this homeless man that was only wearing a tshirt and it was really cold out so one of the elders took off the sweater he was wearing and gave it to him....SO AWESOME RIGHT?? The missionaries here are seriously such amazing examples and motivate me to be better haha

The Lees + the missionaries!! They are so fun we love them
Hello everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

CHRISTMAS EVE wahooo! It's so crazy Christmas already happened haha! Saturday we went as a district and visited about 5 people in the other ward and 5 people in our ward. We made goodie plates and delivered them and sang a Christmas song for the people! it was so fun to see some people that don't have family or are just struggling right now. One man in our ward answered the door and cried the whole time we were singing to him. it was really sweet and we could tell he was really feeling the spirit. After we left he texted the Elders and said he had been praying for help and support because he was having a really hard time, and he felt we were the answer to that prayer. It was such a sweet experience. After finishing our deliveries our district went to a members house in our ward and we had dinner and played a game! They had this huge suranwrap ball filled with little presents and we had to unravel the ball as much as we could before someone stole it and it just kept going around the circle. It was really fun and I got some wipes so that was exciting!

We got permission from President to have TWO SLEEPOVERS with the Shores sisters this week! On Friday night and Sunday night! These were mine and Sister Pennocks Christmas Eve Eve pjs haha

On Christmas we woke up and opened our presents then headed out to church! Thank you all so much for all the packages and sweet letters!! I felt very spoiled. At church we had a special musical program and we got to sing with some of the girls from our ward! The music was really pretty and it was an awesome meeting!! After church we went and had lunch with a family in our ward named the Hulls. They are an older couple and didn't have any family coming in for Christmas so I think they really enjoyed having us and the Elders over. The food was yummy and we decorated sugar cookies! After their house we went over to the Lees! They also fed us on Thanksgiving and it was a blast so I was really excited!! Sister Lee is an angel and got all the missionaries presents and stockings so we sat and had a mini Christmas with them and then we ate again. Luckily there were no incidents this time and all the missionaries were able to keep down their food hahaha! We called home from their house and that was really nice! It seems like things have changed so much at home and I haven't even been gone that long!! Crazy how that happens! After calls we watched The Nativity and some Mormon messages and then headed home for the night!

I found this awesome quote this week that says
"As we seek Christ, as we find him, as we follow him, we shall have the Christmas spirit, not one fleeting day each year, but as a companion always" -Thomas S Monson

I'm sad Christmas is over but I know we can keep that spirit with us all year long!!

I love y'all so much! Have a blessed week <33
xoxo

-Weekly Moss Moment

This weeks moss moment doubles as a kook of the week. One night we had some time to kill so Sister Tryon suggested going to Walmart and putting cart away and talking to people in the parking lot(scary?) so we went and were putting away carts when this lady comes up to us dressed in a black sweatsuit, fuzzy socks, and high heels. She told us that she needed our help because she couldn't find her car. We asked what it looked like and started looking with her. All she told us was that it was white and she couldn't give us any more details than that so we spent about 30min walking around the parking lot pointing out every white car we saw. Finally we made our way to the front of the isle, right by the store, and her car was right there. She walked right past it(and I'm pretty sure we passed it a few times too and she said it wasn't hers but that's okay) She got so excited and started jumping up and down and kept giving us hugs. We helped her put her groceries away then asked if we could show her a quick Christmas video before she left. She just looked at me and said "oh no honey. I am SO DONE" and left. It was really strange. Mossy moss moss.

Sister Morrow: "A nice Stomach Cookie." Mom: "What is a Stomach Cookie?" Sister Morrow: " IT HAS A STOMACH ON THE COOKIE! It's from a members work, she's a doctor hahaha"

When an Elder stands too close to you. ; )
