(Not pointing to Jacksonville but I'm almost pointing to Florida so its cool )
Hello family and friends!!
I survived my first week at the MTC and it has
been such a crazy experience
All the missionaries said " just make it
to pday. Pday feels like Christmas." and they are SO right.
The days here are so long and hard and it's so
nice to have a day to just relax and talk to you all!
The first few days flew by. I got assigned my
companion and she is super sweet. She is from a tiny town in Utah with like 500
people so we have a hard time relating sometimes but we teach really well
together and I know I can learn a lot from her. My district is also amazing. We
have 4 Elders going to Nampa Idaho, 4 going to Irvine California, and 2 other
sisters going to Jacksonville with me! We also just got a new sister the other
day that is going to Australia, but has to stay 2 extra weeks in the MTC for
medical reasons so she was put in out district! She is super sweet and I love
her already. I attached some pictures of my district and all that so you guys
can see
(My companion Sister Harris!)
(We were already late for class but theres always time for mirror selfies)
The elders in my district are all 18 and just
barely graduated high school. This can be challenging sometimes because they
are all a little immature but they are still so spiritual and I know they will
be amazing missionaries. It's funny though because they expect the sisters to
kind of step up and be in charge since we are older. Like one Elder is the
district leader (so he is actually in charge) but he is always like
"Sister Morrow when do we have class?" "Where is it?"
"Can you write this down for me" everyone in the district jokes that
I'm his unofficial secretary. I don't mind helping out though because I'm sure
having a year of college has helped a ton with the transition and the Elders
struggle sometimes lol
(One of our teachers wrote the first quote in blue and the elders decided to come up with some of their own versions lol. also notice the "expectations" lol )
We also have taught a total of 4 investigators
since I've been here! It's hard being in class for 12hrs a day (not
exaggerating) but those 20min lessons make it all worth it! It makes me so excited
to get out and teach people in Florida and Georgia!!
(All of our materials for one class. trying to balance everything really has become a skill )
We also got to go to the temple this morning,
which was so great. We walked in and I saw one of my Grandpa Franks paintings
right when we walked in and it was so comforting.
(YAY for pday and YAY for TEMPLES)
Missionary work is hard sometimes
but the amount of support I have makes a huge difference!! I love you all so
much and I hope you had a great week out in the real world. I don't have a ton
of time to email and I love getting letters so you can send me stuff at

use the same info that’s in my mailing address plus Provo MTC mission! Feel
free to send me random stuff I would love to read anything and everything I
promise.
The church is true! Talk to you all next week.
